Strengthening Support Across Neighbourhood Watch in Kent

Dear Coordinator,

Thank you for your continued commitment to Neighbourhood Watch and the important contribution you make within your community.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting Neighbourhood Watch schemes across Kent, we will be increasing opportunities to engage with coordinators and stay connected with the valuable work taking place within local communities.

This activity will complement the communications you already receive through My Community Voice and is intended to strengthen links between schemes, Kent Police and the wider Neighbourhood Watch network.

Over the coming months, you may receive contact from me as the Volunteers & Watch Liaison Officer, or from one of our Neighbourhood Watch Support Volunteers, who work alongside me to help maintain connections with schemes across the county.

Engagement may take place through a variety of channels, including My Community Voice, email or telephone, depending on the nature of the communication and the most appropriate way to connect.

The purpose of these interactions is simple:

These conversations are intended to be informal, supportive and focused on understanding the experiences of coordinators across Kent. They are not inspections or reviews, but an opportunity for us to learn more about the fantastic work taking place within our communities and ensure schemes feel connected to the wider Neighbourhood Watch network.

We will use the contact information you have provided in connection with your role as a Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator to facilitate these engagement activities and maintain communication with your scheme.

We hope this approach will help us better recognise the dedication of our coordinators and volunteers, share positive community stories and further strengthen the support available to Neighbourhood Watch schemes across Kent.
